Children's Minister, Evonne Boggs
Evonne was born in Houston, Texas.  At the age of 19, Evonne left Texas and joined the Army where she served honorably for 21 years.  An Army assignment in Missouri brought this Texas girl together with her Kentucky love.   Paul and Evonne have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.   They traveled from one assignment to another and always found a work to do in their local churches.  As Mission Service Corp Missionaries, they spoke at churches across America to call on believers to have an active faith.   Retirement brought Evonne back home to Texas and to ministry at Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center. To be further prepared for this second stage of life, Evonne attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Masters in Christian Education in May 2010.   Paul is pursuing a degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
"I had a life changing encounter with God when I was 10 years old.  I owe it to a Sunday School teacher who shared the love of Jesus with me.  I love to learn simply and worship with the excitement of a child.  God uses thoses qualities he put in me to pour out into children."
